Whatever Happened to the TBR/W Tag?

I keep forgetting to talk about what happens after I’ve done the initial TBR/W post

While I was setting up the roundup post for June, I realised I hadn’t actually done anything for the TBR/W tag in a while. At first, I was just going to let my next post for it be a surprise, but that’s just being plain evil…one thing I’ve learnt from these roundups is that a lot can happen in one month, after all.

My current priority, backlog-wise, is Cardcaptor Sakura (original) which is why I haven’t said much about my backlog since February – I’m still in the single-digit episodes of that as we speak, due to everything else keeping me down. Now that I’ve kicked Lupin III Part V from my simulcast lineup though, I now have space for shows affected by the tag…aside from maybe Nerawareta Gakuen, since the entire reason it made the list was because I found it on disc and it’ll be a pain to find again (plus I don’t want to risk a streaming subscription, since I’m happy with the free life as it is). This means I’ll have to substitute in something…scroll down for what I picked.

  • Makai Ouji: Devils and Realist
  • Amagi Brilliant Park
  • Garo – Vanishing Line
  • Inari, Kon Kon, Koi Iroha.
  • Chihayafuru
  • Clockwork Planet
  • Outbreak Company
  • Nerawareta Gakuen (Psychic School Wars) No Game No Life
  • Acchi Kocchi
  • New Game! <<<< I intend to start from the bottom of the list (for arbitrary reasons), so New Game! is up first.

Other details I’ve had to iron out:

  • I’m only sticking to the anime lineup, since it’ll take me forever to finish the manga one.
  • As for what I’m intending to do with each post…I’m thinking of doing my typical editorial-style posts, although the exact topic will change depending on the content.
  • For shows which are 2 seasons or more, I’m probably just going to do a post on the 1st season’s info.

Sidebar: Another reason this tag isn’t the biggest priority is that recently, my local library got a bunch of Hana-Kimi (Hanazakari no Kimitachi e) omnibuses, plus I got into reading the manga for Nana from there as well…so sappy ol’ romance manga is going to be on my agenda for a while. There may or may not be posts for those too, although don’t bet on it.

I did mention in my previous roundup I’ve got nothing but freedom for half of June, so depending on how fast I can get the ball rolling, the New Game! post could be out anywhere in the next month or so. Once that’s done, we’ll see where we can go from there.
