Kimetsu no Yaiba Collab – Episode 8: Enchanting Blood.

Another Demon Slayer collab post is up! This time, we do some (very late) flower-viewing and appreciate us some gore…

…Yes, it is possible to do both in the same post.

The Zodiac Room

It’s again my turn to post the collab… and I’ve broken a promise that I set last time to let you guys know what’s up… Something that Aria has no qualms about reminding me. BUT I WILL MAKE AN EXPLANATION POST! I promise! Anyways, in the meantime, we may be a little behind (partially my fault but mostly Ply’s fault so just blame him) we’re getting around to some progress.

The intelligent and thoughtful Aria

The super awesome and famous Moya

And the struggling yours truly.

The other one opted not to participate because he’s lazy.

What are your general thoughts on this episode?

Much fun, such wow. Yushiro and Tamayo make good additions to the cast, although it seems Gotouge really likes angry bois.

Tamayo’s character certainly adds depth to the whole demon vs. human conflict. She also introduces us to more technical sci-fi aspects of what…

Dr Stone: It’s Got Science…and Some Other Stuff

Dr Stone's selling point is its science in a world that's long lost the concept, but to be honest, there's more to it than that... Dr Stone is a science story at heart in the same way Cells at Work! is, sure, but it's also a whole bunch of other things. Dr Stone starts as a love... Continue Reading →

Getting into (Heart) Gear

Is this the Next Big Thing??? Maybe I just exaggerate my feelings when I'm in the middle of consuming a piece of media (anime/manga included, and especially when potential husbandos are involved), but Heart Gear - this new Manga Plus series I found - is really cool. Basically, Heart Gear stars Lu, the only human in... Continue Reading →

Must-read Monthly Monday (Jun. 2019 ed.)

If it's not specified, the time period covered in this post is from the 20th of May 2019 to the 24th of June 2019. Navigation: Other People's Reads | Spellbook Offerings|Coming up next... Other People's Reads It wouldn't be a round-up post without them. However, since I scour people's archives on a regular basis, these... Continue Reading →

Hyping Up Summer 2019

It feels like an eternity since I did the last one... The Usual Spiel If a show doesn’t appear here, it may show up if it gets favourable ratings before I begin the summer 2019 season. Bold is Crunchyroll, underlined is Funimation (or my local sublicensor) and strikethrough is locked behind the paywall at Sentai/HiDive... Continue Reading →

Demon Sayer Corps: Kimetsu no Yaiba 5 – Interlude Chat

Here’s episode 5 of the Kimetsu no Yaiba collab (and for the second time this collab, someone’s called it “Demon Sayer”). If the YouTube links nar the end of the post end up betraying you (which is my fault, because I’m not much of a gamer), Astral’s “sound reference” is to Legend of Zelda‘s “treasure get” sound while Ply’s is to Final Fantasy.

The Moyatorium

Unsurprisingly behind we are. A reminder of who’s who and updates from everyone:

  • Purple = Aria (Works ahead on all the episodes and is actually on track. Good job!)
  • Green = Plyasm (“Life is the same as always,” “nothing noteworthy.” Guess we can’t expect much from that…)
  • Blue = Astral (Fresh out of the surgery room, let’s slice him some hospital patient apples)
  • Red = Me (Graduated and pessimistic, procrastinates from everything)

1. What are your general thoughts on this episode?[Mandatory]

After the high, the show has to come down somewhere…and it went down about here. Not to say that Kimetsu no Yaiba is bad – after all, it’s consistently great, so its lows are still comparatively high compared to what I’ve seen of most of its competition.

It conveyed the plot that it should and did so in a satisfactory way.

Another fantastic episode. The animation just keeps blowing…
