Ode to Anime Studios – Wit Studio

Arguably, Wit Studio’s biggest work is one I haven’t watched… Wit Studio is currently working on Vinland Saga, plus some other works we haven’t caught much wind of yet like the Netflix-bound music anime Vampire in the Garden, so it’s a good time as any to shine a spotlight on them. This studio, founded on June... Continue Reading →

Urashimasaka…wha?

For a short-episode show that I've thrown on to my fall 2019 plan to watch list out of sheer lack of not having any good short-ep shows this year, this seems pretty good. I was staring at AniChart to compile my fall 2019 hype list and encountered a short anime called Urashimasakatasen no Nichijou (whew!... Continue Reading →

Hyping Up Fall 2019

Yikes, where did the summer season go...? I haven't really been keeping track of where the summer season has gone, since it was slow at the beginning and now it's at the pointy end for real life right now (and I keep misjudging what time I have left to do things since these days I... Bloody Tales of a Vagabond

Here's one series I haven't seen much buzz about, although I had heard of it before reading it... Now here's something that's right down my alley: a historical story based on a novel, with a lotta action and big helpings of blood to go with it (plus the occasional more mature scene to go with... Demon Sayer Corps: Kimetsu no Yaiba 21 – Who’s the Enemy Now?

In this episode of Demon Slayer, we meet the Pillars (Hashiras), complain about skirts and ship Giyu x Shinobu…I apologise in advance though, because we don’t have any mini Nezuko memes for you.

The Moyatorium

This episode was plenty of fun. No pre-content rambling from me here today, let’s just get into it.

Who we are:

  • Purple = Aria (well of knowledge)
  • Green = Plyasm (sick and trying to stay alive)
  • Blue Astral (shounen enthusiast)
  • Red = Me (demon apologist)

1. What are your general thoughts on this episode? [Mandatory]

I thought we were getting off the stinking mountain (to reappropriate some words from one of the Kakushi) last episode…I guess I probably should’ve seen that Rui backstory coming, though.

A pretty solid episode, honestly. It’s sorta nice to be back to some of the lighter character interactions now that the threat of Rui and the spider family has passed.

I appreciated the Rui backstory, and enjoyed the interactions between Tanjiro, Giyu, and Shinobu. And Shinobu’s little sister is cute.

Discussion:

  • I found I didn’t have a lot to say because not a whole…

Anime Watching Habits Over the Years

After replying to Jerem’s post, it made me think about the various factors that change a person’s anime watching habits… I still love anime with as much passion as I did when I first started watching, but time changes a lot of things. First of all, while people grow up with anime, their “anime watching... Continue Reading →

Demon Sayer Corps: Kimetsu no Yaiba Episodes 19 and 20 – Flames of Passion

On these episodes of Demon Slayer…1) not too many demons get slain, 2) Ply is still absent, 3) I make some awesome wallpapers, 4) Astral hints at the future and 5) Moya brings up the things with the most common sense, as per usual…(?).

The Zodiac Room

The last week has been a crazy one for all of us, I think. Ply’s been real sick (so he’s out of the collab again), I’ve been dealing with physical therapy for my surgery recovery, Moya’s got a new job, and Aria’s had some chaos going on as well. Everything likes to pile on all at once, huh?

Despite all these complications, we (most of us) have managed to keep up with the show fairly well. In the interests of getting back on track, this’ll be a twofer, covering the much-celebrated episode 19, and the perfect follow-up, episode 20.

To keep you all reminded:

I’m blue, da boo die

Aria (na) Grande

Moya Nagoya

Episode 19

What are your general thoughts on this episode?

YES, YES, YES!! This episode is one of the things I’ve been waiting all season to see! The final showdown between Rui (confirmed to be one…
